The Entrance Surf Life Saving Club Inc. is a vibrant and enthusiastic surf life saving club, which provides opportunities for people of all ages to make new friends and gain valuable life skills.
The club is very much family oriented and, despite having a strong background in competition, it has something for everyone. The club gym is fully equipped and available to all full members of the club aged over 16.
Junior Division:
Our Junior Division provides a unique program for young people aged 7 to 14 to have fun, meet new friends, participate in physical activity and learn surf survival skills.
Fees:
- U/8 Yrs – U/14 Yrs $ 60.00
- Family Cap $180.00 (1 x Adult 2 x Children $10/extra child)
- Parents 1 (non active) $ 60.00
- Parents 2 (non active) $ 50.00
Senior Division:
All active members are trained in surf life saving techniques, first aid and resuscitation. They are required to obtain a Bronze Medallion and to fulfil patrol and club obligations throughout the season. There is the opportunity to gain important skills and to be involved in many aspects of the club, including:
- Beach patrols
- Senior and junior coaching
- Coaching accreditation courses
- Training accreditation courses
- Competition at surf carnivals which are held locally and interstate
- Use of all surf craft – boards, surf skis, surfboats, IRB
- Various specialised courses, such as advanced resuscitation, first aid, IRB driver and IRB crewman.
- Social functions
Members who wish to compete or become proficient in the use of boards, skis, surf craft, beach running or flags have the opportunity to be involved in training programs which are organised by the various Area Captains.
Fees - 2009/10 Season:
- Active Members: $50.00
- Associate Members: $60.00
Competition Fees:
We have waived our competitors levy for the coming season. The first $50 in competition fees will be covered by the Club with fees in excess of this to be covered by each competitor.
